The kitchen at Treetops Day Nursery was recently inspected by West Sussex County Council Food Standards Agency and we were delighted to be awarded at the maximum elite 5 star rating for food hygiene.
The award credits food businesses that maintain consistently excellent food hygiene standards.
Winnie Jones, Director of Treetops Day Nursery said; “It’s fantastic to have the dedication and hard work of our kitchen team recognised in such an important way”.
Under the Food Safety Act 1990, environmental health inspectors are required to inspect food premises according to the Food Standards Agency Code of Practice.
Food plays an essential part in a child’s development.
At Treetops we develop a child’s social skills; staff and children eat together, talk together and learn good manners and concern for each other.
Handling cutlery aids development of manipulative skills.
Children can see and smell their food being cooked by our lovely staff in the kitchen.
They are encouraged to thank them for their meal.
